Executive board member of the National Association of Scholars. Coordinator of the Comparative Ethnic American Studies Program at Towson University. Coordinator of the Bernard Malamud Literary Society. Founding member of MELUS (Multi-Ethnic Literature of the United States Society), the leading society for research in teaching ethnic American literature.
